- Listening practice: We watched a video about a festival of concerts called the Proms. Then, SS answered a few questions about the festival and did a gap-fill exercise to learn some common English expressions.
- We started File 1C, which will help you to revise and extend your knowledge of adverbs and the vocabulary of jokes and humour, and we did activities A, B, and C on page 16.
- Julia talked us about American humour and who Americans made jokes about. Then, she told us several jokes and asked SS questions in Have you got a sense of humour? on page 17.

-At Julia's time SS had to describe two cartoons to their partners (copy 129), who had to choose the funniest caption for each picture.
