March Test

As you know, the test will take place on Thursday, 26 March from 4.30 p.m. to 6.45 p.m., so be on time please !!!
I remind you that students from Isla Cristina are sitting the Speaking test on Tuesday, 24 March and the rest on Tuesday, 31 March. If you want to practise the contents for the test, just turn to page 39 in your book and have a look at the Can you say this in English? section.

Do you remember the last copy I gave out (exercises on prepositions of time)? Turn it over and you will find a list of questions that I may ask you in the exam (page 196). Good luck !!!

We have being doing more exercises on adverbs of frequency today. During Matthew's time we have learnt how to say years. We have started lesson 3D and we have learnt how to say what the date is and how to use common prepositions of time. If you need more practice on the contents of lesson 3D, here you can find some interesting resources:

Last Thursday we learnt how to describe people's appearance; we corrected exercises on page 149; students were saying what they do on a typical day, describing their daily routine (pages 30-31). For Tuesday 10th, you have to read the article The Mystery of Okinawa on page 32.

If you need help with adjectives, have a look at this site and watch the video

Oh Pretty Woman

I'm sorry but I couldn't play this song in class because we were short of time. Since some of you were interested in listening to the song, here you are the video and the lyrics

During the first half of the class, we were in the Lab checking my new blog. As you know it's intended to help you with your English class, so I hope you find it useful.
Then we went back to our class; I gave out a sheet about common classroom language - from now on, you should use it when asking questions in class -; we did section 3 on page 30 and finally, students took the reading test. By the way, if you are having problems with the time, it's worth having a look at these websites.
